The Program Files location for Rainmeter is intended for items distributed with Rainmeter, and nothing else, unless you are running Rainmeter in "portable" mode.īut for those who have Intel, and simply want to display the CPU temperature and no other sensor information, this might be a nice alternative. ![]() I strongly recommend that this NOT be installed in the Plugins folder under the Rainmeter program folder if you have a standard installation, but installed in %APPDATA%\Rainmeter\Plugins. It has to be manually installed, as Rainmeter has no ability to distribute anything other than a single 32bit/64bit. It has some limitations, in that it is only for Intel CPU's, and it makes me a bit nervous to distribute Ring0 system drivers. This plugin does not require that CoreTemp.exe be installed or running. Use the task scheduler to make Rainmeter run with the administrator privilege at boot time. Copy (CPUTemp.dll) to rainmeters plugins folder or user plugins folder. I would also assume its because it doesnt have individual core temperatures. I assume it has to do with hwinfo settIngs, Ive tried looking in the ini file for hwinfo detection of cpu temperature but I am not sure what I am looking for or how to write the code. Your temperature reading should still show up, since its running off Afterburner now. To check if this is working, exit or uninstall Core Temp. MooO System Monitor lets you choose by checkbox what to display allowing you to create a desktop widget that can sit off to the side. Save the file, then right click and refresh the CPU skin in Rainmeter. Enormous menu has search function to locate which system information value you want to inspect. Most processors that can run Windows are also supported including AMD, Intel, Itanium, DEC Alpha, VIA. Windows 95, 98 and Me are also supported. System Information Viewer can check the temperature of each CPU core along with the temperature of other devices that report their values such as memory controller hub, HDD, SSD, GPU, UPS, etc. ![]()
